Density Classic, Alpha and Boost Tips — 300 Shots or 600?
Lifting Series ④ — Results come not from the tip's name but from "what is used where"

People who have looked into Density ask, "Is the Alpha tip better, or the Classic tip?" Search results are full of tip names and thin on what actually differs. Here it is as I explain it in the clinic.
(The difference between monopolar and bipolar was covered in article ②. Here we look only at how that principle is divided into tips.)
Three tips — which depth each treats
ReYeonK uses three Density tips, each with a different energy. The tip is decided not by its name but by which layer of that person's skin is the problem.
| Tip | Energy | Depth reached | In a word | When |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic tip | Monopolar only | Deep dermis | Deep | When firmness has dropped and the dermis itself needs filling. The default tip |
| Alpha tip | Monopolar + bipolar | Deep and shallow layers together | Deep and even | Thin or sensitive skin, or texture and firmness together |
| Boost tip | Bipolar only | Superficial dermis | Shallow and even | Evening out surface texture and fine firmness. Mild stimulation, so for sensitive skin or as a finishing step |
Density also has a High tip. ReYeonK, however, works with the three above — deep (Classic), combined (Alpha) and shallow (Boost) cover most skin by layer.
The machine was upgraded with the Boost tip
With the arrival of the Boost tip, ReYeonK upgraded the machine to Density Noir, which allows sliding delivery.
We never use just one
At ReYeonK we do not simply fill a shot count. The three tips are distributed according to skin thickness and degree of sagging — more Classic where the deep layer is the problem, Alpha for thin or sensitive skin, more Boost when refining surface texture. Real-time impedance feedback measures the skin's resistance at every shot, lowering burn risk while making sure the energy goes in properly.
300 shots or 600?
The explanation is the same one we give for Thermage — for the same shot count, a smaller face benefits more, because the same energy goes into a smaller area.
So the shot count is not decided by "how many is best." It is decided by face size, the number of areas treated, and the degree of sagging. Whether we treat only the cheeks and jawline or include the forehead and neck changes the shots required, and wide or multiple areas point toward 600. How the shots are allocated across areas is decided in consultation, with photographs.
Results and duration
Results last 6 to 12 months. A single session shows change, but a course of 3 to 4 sessions at one-month intervals is clearer and lasts longer. After that, maintenance every 6 to 12 months. Because heat is delivered as a surface, most patients have it without anaesthesia, and makeup can be worn the same day.

Results and duration vary between individuals. The right plan is decided in consultation, after examining your skin.
